2024 Simply the Best Locally Owned Winners – Simply the Best Directory

Locally-Owned is a new group this year as we decided to split several of the categories under Local Favorites into East and West divisions. Family Owned is a company that is owned and operated by two or more family members who hold the majority of the business’s ownership or control or a business that has been passed down from one family generation to another. Minority Owned is a company that is at least 51% owned, managed, and controlled by a United States citizen that is a member(s) of a qualified minority group such as Asian-Indian, Asian-Pacific, Black/African, Hispanic, or Native American. (This definition comes from the National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc.) Veteran Owned is a business that is at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by a United States Veteran (as defined by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs). And Woman Owned is a business that is at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by a woman.
